Editions

The Erik Brunetti Foundation for the Arts maintains documentation and selected materials relating to Erik Brunetti’s print editions produced in collaboration with Brand X Editions.

The archive records the translation of drawings and graphic works into print through source material, tonal and color separations, working proofs, approval records, production notes, paper specifications, and final edition documentation.

Edition production is treated as a collaborative but clearly attributed process. The documentation identifies the respective roles of the artist, printer, chromist, and publisher while preserving the technical and aesthetic decisions through which each edition was realized.

Materials may include:

  • Original source drawings

  • Digital or hand-prepared separations

  • Color and tonal tests

  • Working proofs

  • Artist’s proofs and printer’s proofs

  • Approval records

  • Paper and ink specifications

  • Signed edition examples

  • Printer and publisher documentation

  • Institutional-placement records

The archive supports research into printmaking, collaborative authorship, edition history, and the relationship between unique source works and printed multiples.

Paper size: 42 × 28.5 inches

Produced from the Oval Parody body of work, the edition returns the image from monumental painting to controlled print circulation. Its scale preserves the physical authority of the Milan paintings while reconnecting the project to Brunetti’s longer history of mechanical reproduction and graphic distribution.

Ink Drawing Editions

The ink drawing editions translate selected works from Brunetti’s drawing practice through tonal separation and silkscreen printing.

Produced on Rives BFK paper, the editions preserve the density, variation, and irregularity of the original ink while establishing a documented print record of each image. Production materials include source drawings, separation files, working proofs, approval records, and final edition specifications.

Individual edition entries should identify:

  • Title and date

  • Source work

  • Printing process

  • Paper and dimensions

  • Edition and proof structure

  • Printer and chromist

  • Publisher

  • Signature and chop placement

  • Approval date

  • Institutional placements, when completed

Do not publish an overall number of Ink Drawing Edition titles until the final list is reconciled. The records currently reference more titles than the stated number of completed editions.

Institutional Access

Selected editions, working proofs, and production records may be available for institutional loan, exhibition, publication, and scholarly consultation.

Institutional placements should be named publicly only after the transfer has been completed or formally confirmed by the receiving institution.
